With the White Cliffs giving way to a level coastline to Deal and beyond, there's no limit to bracing beachside strolls and cycling adventures along the Kent Coastal Path.
✅ WALKING
Head south on the clifftop path to Dover to enjoy the unique charm of St. Margaret's Bay then up to the South Foreland Lighthouse. Head north on the beachside path to discover two medieval castles, the unique charm of Walmer and the iconic pier at Deal.
✅ CYCLING
Located on the National Cycle Network Route 1, the chalets are an ideal base for coastal cycling whether it's a relaxed beachside ride to Deal, or further along the coast to historic Sandwich, with a few refreshment breaks along the way.
✅ SEA SAFARI
From Dover harbour a high-speed RIB passes channel ferries and cruise ships to provide stunning views of the White Cliffs, drops in silently to say hi to the seal colonies at Pegwell Bay, before an adrenaline rush ride on the journey back.
✅ CLIP 'N CLIMB
Just 15 minutes drive away at Whitfield is the Dover Leisure Centre which provides a wall with 20 climbing lines up to 7.5 metres so there's a challenge to suit all ages from 4+, and for the very brave an adrenaline rush freefall dropping into a vertical slide.
✅ ROWING AT HYTHE
If rowing is your speciality you'll find rowing boats available for hire from April to October on the Royal Military Canal running through Hythe, just along the coast from Folkestone for one hour or more, safety equipment provided.
✅ CANOE WILD
On the River Stour at Fordwich canoe, kayak or paddleboard for an hour, or take a longer trip to Grove Ferry with free transfer back to your car. With all equipment provided enjoy a tranquil trip through the Kent countryside.
✅ INFLATABLE FUN
With family fun sessions tackling an inflatables obstacle course in the main pool, and a dry side jungle themed bouncy castle and slide for the younger ones, there's always plenty to do at Dover Leisure Centre in Whitfield.

Take a trip to the golden sands of Joss Bay for your your surfing, body or paddleboard adventure courtesy of Kent Surf School. With boards and wet suits to hire and lessons for all ages and abilities you'll be riding the waves before you know it.
✅ SEAL SAFARI
Visit the home of a colony of harbour and grey seals on the sandbanks of the Stour estuary in Pegwell Bay. Get close by on a boat trip from Dover or Ramsgate, or view from a distance from Pegwell Bay Country Park.
✅ GO APE
Choose from Treetop Adventure (4-10), Treetop Adventure Plus (6-12) or Treetop Challenge (10+ over 1.4m) to explore the tree tops, swings and zip wires by Going Ape at Leeds Castle near Maidstone.

Driven by electricity take an peaceful ride along the Royal Military Canal in Hythe on Le Tienne to meet the resident swans and view the other wildlife that live along the waters edge - kingfishers, ducks and herons.

Dover Sea Sports Centre provides sailing dingy hire, taster sessions and courses for all ages of aspiring sailors in the sheltered inner harbour at Dover at weekends and in school holidays which may be booked on-line..

Paddle boarding fun for all ages in the sheltered waters of the Dover Marina. Hire paddle boards and wetsuits, take lessons from qualified instructors or simply enjoy a leisurely peaceful paddle.
