Welcome to Chalet 67 and Chalet 68
I treasured the quiet sitting outside having a cup of tea
We even managed a BBQ in the sunshine in May
Children can run free - scoot, cycle their bike freely around the paths
Distant ferry ship passing by
Just a short stroll to the swimming pool
Refurbished pool with lifeguards for safety
We liked the fact that cars stay in the car park
The site is well kept and has a small play park
We recommend the place for a relaxing and quiet holiday
The kids really enjoyed the cycling and the tennis court
Mini-golf? Clubs, golf balls and score cards available
Kingsdown Park is clean and beautiful
The outdoor table tennis table is popular with all age groups
A cosy winter retreat by the sea
The tranquil setting is beautiful and a short stroll from the beach
Park entrance from Upper Street - ignore the Sat Nav
We loved the beach where the children explored the rock pools
We spent a great time enjoying the beach
We would recommend the pub on the beach for a lovely meal
We had a glass or two of the good stuff while watching the waves
Probably the best part is the closeness to the sea
The setting is just idealic
The children threw stones in the sea and had themselves a ball
The coast cycle/foot path to Deal was wonderful
You can walk for miles and miles taking in the lovely scenery
We enjoyed our holiday at Chalet 68 and have booked again for next year

If you approach from Dover along the A258 drive through Ringwould and turn right for Kingsdown. If you approach from Deal follow the coast road into Kingsdown. In Upper Street look out for an unmarked entrance opposite the Church; it is easy to miss. Drive in the entrance past the houses and up the steep hill into the car park which extends up to the top of the park.

Inside the chalets are two comfortable leather sofas with a flat screen TV, DVD player and Freesat box to enjoy a film or two in the evening. Connect to the internet using the supplied code and whilst the contracted speeds are adequate please contact us if this is not the case. The heating is via oil filled radiators and the hot water switch is by the cooker; we turn this off when the water is hot and top up as and when required. The shower works independently so there's no need to wait for hot water. The electricity meter is in the cupboard in the dining room and is set at the supplier's rate + standing charge.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a dishwasher, electric cooker and microwave oven. For added convenience there is a washing machine, coffee maker and freezer in the dining room. For provisions if you head back to Dover turn right at the top of Jubilee Way and take the first slip road to find a Lidl and further on a Tesco Supermarket at Whitfield; if you head for Deal locate the railway station to find a Sainsbury’s Supermarket and Aldi; and don't forget the village shops! Meals and snacks are served on the dining table or outside front or back on the tables provided.

You'll find bunk beds in the downstairs bedroom next to the bathroom. Up the steep stairs there is a double bed in the front bedroom, two singles in the back bedroom which has a smaller flat screen TV, with a toilet and wash basin on the middle landing. A travel cot is available to site at your convenience. All the beds have duvets, pillows and mattress protectors and we can provide bed linen and indoor towels but otherwise please remember to pack your own. There are two opening windows at the front and back but as it can still be quite hot in the summer we provide a fan.
Kingsdown is a quiet seaside location to relax on the park with the swimming pool, tennis court and other activities or walk down to the beach with a holiday read, some fun in the sea and explore the rock pools at low tide. It is a perfect base for walking and cycling trips along the coast and excursions to the picturesque seaside bays, gardens, concerts, towns, castles, adventure activities and attractions including a sea safari, animal parks, coastal parks, sports and water sports centres and shopping centres. And spare some time for some traditional family games should you get any rain!
